A full periodontal exam will be completed to assess the supporting bone around the teeth and the health of the gum tissue.
A restorative evaluation checking each individual tooth for evidence of fracture, erosion, stress, and decay will be completed as well as a bite analysis.
Dr. Amy will walk each patient through a muscle and jaw joint exam to discover any signs of fatigue, tension, or damage to the TMJ.
An oral cancer screening will be performed to evaluate the soft tissues for any signs of lumps, bumps, or sores. Dr. Heim is very adamant about this cancer screening and makes sure to engage patients on the importance of being observant on the changes in one’s mouth.
Taking your blood pressure will always be part of your experience at our dental studio to screen for risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Heim’s team is also trained in the importance of an open airway and proper sleep patterns for overall better health.
